Illeana to act in Mahesh's Athidhi!

If news from Filmnagar is to be believed, Illeana might shake legs with Mahesh Babu again. Grapevine has it that she will be doing an item number in Mahesh Babu's current film, Athidi. According to sources, presently discussions are going on to rope in her for a special song in the film.Mahesh and Illeana is a hit pair. Their first combination in Pokiri turned out to be highly successful. Director Surender is keen on roping her in for this film for a single song.Will Illeana agree for this? Let's wait and see.Amritha Rao is playing the female lead in this film which is scheduled for October 10th release.

Hi-tech team for Pawan’s Puli

Pawan Kalyan’s next venture Puli is going to have technicians of high caliber. SJ Surya (Kushi fame) directs this film. AR Rehman composes music. Ravi K Chandran handles cinematography. Financier turned producer Singanamala Ramesh will produce this film on grand scale. This film will go to floors after completion of Pawan Kalyan’s current film in the direction of Trivikram.

Jagapathi Babu’s special role in Nagarjuna’s Don

Jagapathi Babu’s second innings is more of multi-starrers. His role in Anukokunda Oka Roju was much appreciated, while he got a thumbsup from the viewers as Gopichand’s elder brother in the superhit – Lakshyam. Now, he is playing another role – in Nagarjuna’s forthcoming Don. The role has a negative shade, something which is relatively new for Babu who plays the ‘good man’ most times. Director Lawrence himself plays an important role in this film which has Kajal Agarwal and Anushka Shetty cast opposite Nagarjuna. The movie is being produced by ML Kumar Chowdary on Sri Keerthi Creations. The audio scored by Lawrence would release on the 18th of November in Vizag, while the movie itself would release on the 20th of December.

Vishnu as "Yugandhar"

Remakes seem to be the flavour of the season. Yesteryears blockbusters seem to have caught the imagination of filmmakers in Bollywood. In the recent past we saw remakes like Devadas, Don, Sarkar, Umarao Jaan and most recently RGV's Aag.The trend seems to be catching up in Tollywood too. The buzz is that some serious thought is being paid to remake the NT Rama Rao starrer Yugandhar (which was inspired by the BIG B's Don) with Vishnu in the lead.In a recent interview Nagarjuna was quoted as saying that he was interested in remaking movies like Patala Bhairavi and Gundama Katha as they hold great scope for stimulating graphics. We have to wait and see if these movies will strike a chord with the audience.

Jayasudha plans Hindi Bommarillu

Actor Jayasudha is reportedly keen to produce the hit film Bommarillu in Hindi. She is in touch with Amitabh Bachchan and Abhisekh Bachchan in this regard. The hit film had Prakash Raj and Siddhartha in the roles of father and son. So the Big B Amitabh and son Abhisekh are likely to play father and son in the film. More details are awaited.

Thousands of fans thronged Nimmakuru

On Wednesday (August 29, 2007), thousands of Nandamuri fans and Telugu Desam party supports had turned up at Nimmakuru for the wedding reception of Lokesh and Brahmini.
Nandamuri Balakrishna had thrown this reception for his fans who could not attend his daughter’s wedding on 26th at Hyderabad. NBK personally introduced the newly married couple to some of the fans and he freely interacted with them. NBK with his wife and Nara Chandra Babu Naidu and his wife Bhuvaneshwari were present at the stage decorated richly with flowers.Local MLA and producer Kodali Naani had made the arrangements for the reception. More than 50 thousands of fans had turned up.

Nag's nephew Sushanth to debut as Dev

Nagarjuna's another nephew Sushanth is getting ready for making a grand entry. A new director is going to launch him in a film to be produced by Nagarjuna himself on Annapoorna studios banner, according to our sources.Dev is the title under consideration for this movie. The producer had no other way except to kill the role played by Simran. and completed the film. without Simran But the director projected Simran as an AIDS, patieint. This has angered Simran and she has now decided to move the court for Rs20 crores compensation

Brahmanandam as "Shivaji"

Comedian Brahmanandam has a special role in Lakshmiputhrudu.A helicopter has been specially hired for this purpose and the scene was filmed at a small village 80 kms from Bangalore. Director Rajkapoor shot some scenes involving Brahmanandam and Raghubabu.Uday Kiran and Diya are the lead pair. Mumaith Khan has been paired up with Brahmanandam in the film.The film has lots of action; comedy and sentiment and will appeal to all class of audience and the youth in particular.

Vishnu, Nagarjuna film launched

Hero Vishnu and Nagarjuna are acting together in director P Vasu's film. The film was launched on August 24, 2007 at Annapoorna Studios. Though Nag couldn't attend, Akkineni graced the ceremony.Produced by Mohan Babu on his Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures banner, the film has newcomer Rohini Sahni as the heroine.It has music by M M Keeravani and Om Prakash handles the camera.

1st Week 16crores - Yama Donga

NTR is back with a bang. The highly successful combination of NTR and director S S Rajamouli does the magic once again at Box-office with Yamadonga. Despite the divided talk, the film took the box-office by storm in the first week. The opening collections for first week prove that Yamadonga almost set new record in openings for Telugu films. The first week collections (share) are about Rs 16 Crores (excluding Overseas, Karnataka and other areas).

In some areas, the film became all time biggest grocer in the first week and in some areas it almost reached to the place.

In Ceded, Yamadonga broke all records and stood at No.1. In Guntur too, NTR has shown his popularity. In Nizam, NTR's popularity rose with this film. Only in Godavari districts that Yamadonga could not make big impact.

The successful combination of Allu Arjun and director Sukumar is finally taking place again after blockbuster Aarya. According to our sources, they are now teaming up for producer BVSN Prasad. Prince Mahesh Babu's current big-budgeted film, "Athidhi", is into final stages of shooting. The film is expected to hit the theatres on October 10th. The date has almost been finalized. UTV is releasing it in Andhra Pradesh with association of Suresh Movies Distribution.According to Telugu Cinemass sources Mahesh Babu will start working on "Mirchi" from November. The film is to be directed by his close associate Jasti Hemambar. With the film rolling on in November, M S Raju's "Hare Rama Hare Krishna" might be postponed to next year.

"Bujjigaadu"- Made In Chennai

arlier we at Telugu Cinemass informed you that Puri Jagannath is going to direct a film with Prabhas titled "Shadow". But now the name of the movie has been changed to "Bujjigaadu"- Made In Chennai is the tagline for the film. It is produced by K S Ramarao on his Creative Commercials banner and will begin shooting from September. The film will be launched on August 23rd. Devi Sri Prasad will score the music.Earlier, "Shadow" was the title chosen for it but finally "Bujjigadu" is selected and registered.Trisha is the heroine while newcomer Sanjana will be playing second lead.

Tamil Hero in MS Raju Movie

After making Siddhartha a huge celebrity in Andhra Pradesh with Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (NVNV), MS Raju is all set to introduce another Tamil boy Vinay in Telugu with his next film Vaana. It was Suman who got the opportunity to play God in these films.Now in a new film being produced by Mohan Babu, Nagarjuna will play God. Manchu Vishnu will be the hero and P Vasu will direct this film. However it is not exactly known as to which particular God Nagarjuna would be portraying in the film.
