Mahesh Babu bagged the Filmfare Award in the best actor category for the film Pokiri. Other awards in Telugu films includes Genelia (best actress for Bommarillu), Puri Jagannath (best director for Pokiri), Devisri Prasad (music for Bommarillu), SPB (best playback for Sri Ramadasu), Mamata Mohandas (playback for the film Rakhi), Veturi (lyrics for Godavari), Saikumar (best supporting for Samanyudu), Sandhya (best supporting actress for Annavaram).
